3016 is available. Just downloaded it yesterday. So far, no crash, but didn't play around a lot up to now.

@Naima: Yes, it is an independent terrain design tool. Although it would take a few versions before it's as mature as world machine. So I think geoglyph development may continue for a while, as I read somewhere that TOR will have plugin integration with geoglyph. It has some geoglyph features implemented in house for sure, so maybe they will replace geoglyph soon. We are still waiting for more info. You can apply for the public beta starting soon here:

So basically TOR is an alternative to Worldmachine and geoglyph will be mostly included in it?

I am getting confused, What is TOR Platform now?

I read its from same authors of quadspinner? I mean whats going on ? World machine , TOR Platform , Geoglyph are they the same development team and are making different competiting softwares?

World machine is developed and maintained by "World Machine Software LLC" (Stephen Schmitt). Geoglyph is a plugin for world machine developed and maintained by "Quadspinner", a separate company. Now "Quadspinner" is working on their own standalone solution for terrain design, known as "TOR platform" at the moment. It's still under heavy development and not much information has been revealed.

jgwinner, did you actually try to download the update?  Remnant extended the update eligibility substantially due to the last year's non-activity, so if you had a license you might get the download.

That's good - I apparently don't get the free updates.

I had to make a decision - upgrade something that seemed to be dead? I mean, I didn't know if Stephen was all right :(

My subscription apparently lapsed in September 25, 2016 :(  :(

I think Stephen has just updated the site -- randomly logged in today to check out the upgrades center and I have a years worth of free additional updates + the newest WM builds which I didn't have access to before.

Huge +1 for my confidence in the future development of WM (2 new builds so far).

Just wanted to say I agree.

My subscription ran out JUST before the last beta expired, and I can't download the new beta.

The right thing to do would be for Stephen to allow our subscriptions to be renewed until the release comes out. I'll gladly pay for a (stable) release maintenance, but I've been there from practically the start, and don't feel I need to pay for a beta ... especially with what the release schedule has been.

Can you help us out Stephen? If you're still listening?

Thanks,
