When will WM 3 get released finally?
« on: October 18, 2017, 04:57:44 AM »
I dont like to use alpha/beta software, I am still waiting for WM 3.0 final release. Why does it take so long? Do you want that your competitors take over WM with their products in the future (TOR from the makers of GeoGlyph and many others)? WM 2.3 is already a nice product but it should be updated to todays workflow and UI and easy import export from engines like Unreal Engine 4.

totally agree +1

but I dont think, this is going to happen. I guess TOR or others will be the future.

Cheers!

I still use WM extensively, with GeoGlyph.
And lately I've developed a workflow where I create the base shapes in World Creator 2 (GPU based, rapid fast, can make iterations in no time up to 16K) and bring it into WM for added effects of erosions, terraces etc which I currently find hard to do in WC2.

That said, I'd love to see WM continue development.

I use the latest 3016 with Geoglyph, but unfortunately this does not work. If WM3 gets a final release, then hopefully Geoglyph will be updated as well.
I don't think Tor will be an option soon and all other solutions have their drawbacks as well.
