There *is* a "Fit" button under the preview window, and it allows you to zoom to fit the heightmap. But it only works when the heightmap is normalized between 0 and 1.

I set the slope selector maximum to 0.8, and the dialog says that's equal to 51 degrees. However, this is incorrect since a slope of 0.8 equals 39 degrees.

Or maybe the decimal value equals the sine of the angle? But this does not seem to be the case either.

Also, I think it would be great if we could input our own values instead of just using the very imprecise slider.

If I set a mesh's properties to

Units = Export using meters

then I can no longer see the mesh in the preview window.

Is there a way to automatically zoom to fit the mesh? Thanks.

I have a terrain that is 128x128 pixels. This means that when exporting the mesh, the coordinates require 7 digits after the decimal place, since 1/128 = 0.0078125. However, formats such as OBJ and STL only support 6 digits after the decimal place, which ends up being lossy.

How can I work around this problem? It would be great if I could scale all the coordinates up such that they do not use any decimal places at all.

It's been a while, and I'm a bit hazy on the subject, but I think there is a tutorial for creating roads using splines?

Can I export/import the control points of a spline to/from a text file? I want to create the actual road surface using a separate tool.

What equations do you use for the splines? IIRC, they are Hermite splines, correct?

I use a Macro to do it. Or use the Radial grad and set it to square to set side to 0

When you normally view a height map in WM, the sides are "filled in" so you can't peek through. This is not the case for mesh output. Is there a way to configure WM to output those side faces as well?

Also, I am having trouble entering my own values for clipping. For instance, if I enter 1, the left slider goes all the way to the top next to the right slider.

Select it by making a selection on the area where the unclickable shape is, like you would when selecting multiple troops in an RTS game

This didn't work for me. The circle is still stuck. This seems to only happen with circles.

In WM, always right-click to cancel a placement action -- this is true for the device view as well as the layout view.

Is it possible to change the grid size in layout view? Currently I can only snap to -1.0, -0.5, 0.0, 0.5, 1.0, etc. as far as I can tell.

Is it also possible to input exact coordinates for shapes, such as position, radius, etc.?

I'm having problems drawing lines with the Layout view.

1. Firstly, when I start trying it will only draw points with no lines connecting them.
2. Then, after I somehow get them working (I don't know how), it will not stop drawing them even if the Lines brush is not selected. And they don't show up in the hierarchy either.
3. How do I delete lines? I am trying to right-click them but no dice.

WM just crashed on me too. Don't know if it managed to send a dump to your server because Windows says it's not responding.

When a circle has a zero radius it is no longer possible to resize or move the circle using the mouse, or delete it using the right-click menu.
