Can't replace Splatmaps in Unity
« on: February 02, 2014, 02:15:24 PM »
Trying to replace Splatmaps in Unity;
"Wrong format
Splatmap must be converted to ARGB 32 bit format. Make sure the type is Advanced and set the format!"

Getting this error message despite settings being applicable. No luck googling a solution  :(

Unity distinguishes between ARGB and RGBA. Don't ask..

If you're following the workflow guide for unity : http://www.world-machine.com/learn.php?page=workflow&workflow=wfunity

Step 4 is a required step in order to convert from RGBA to ARGB32. Make sure you've enabled Read/Write and changed the format to ARGB32. In the newer version of Unity they moved things around a bit; make sure that you've set the format and size for default and not for a platform override.

Ive tested this script in Unity 4.3 and it seems, it does not work anymore... the checkbox for flipping can not be disabled for example and the results of the splatmap replace seems weird...

Can you please test it yourself and maybe fix this script?! Would be awesome!
