Getting rid of spiky artifacts after erosion?

As the subject states, I'm having problems with spiky artifacts when using erosion, and thus far I've failed to do anything about them myself.
I read another thread where someone recommended that you should use the E2 Pqualizer to sort it out, but for some reason that macro doesn't work for me. WM just spits out that there's some unknown error in it and refuses to even load it up on the macro bar. If someone has a working version of that macro, perhaps they could post a .tmd with it? But of course I'm open to other solutions too! :)

A couple ideas that usually work:

1) Spiky artifacts are usually due to very sharp noise in your input terrain into the erosion. Try applying a slight blur (1 pixel or so) to your input terrain

2) Apply Thermal Erosion after your fluvial erosion to collapse down the spikes
