Hi everyone,

After some test we decide to reduce the size of our game map to only allowed an 8 km x 8km playable area so we can release other part of the map as future extensions.

But i am a bit confuse about the terrain size, let me explain here :

I just made another extent of 8 km x 8km and in terrain tiled panel i set the grid to 2x2 at 2048 height-map resolution so this made 4 tiles of 2048 x 2048 for a total of 4096 kilometer square.

So should i make a 4x4 grid to get a real 8 km square playable area or am i just not seeing the forest behind the trees here?

Hi everyone,

I am currently trying to put some sand dunes from macro but those dunes macro only have a band of dune that is difficult to orient in a specific spot on the terrain and they dont have any mask input so anyone can shed some light on how to use these on specific spot of the terrain?

Hi Stephen,

I think i stumble on a minor bug here, after renaming my folder where the tmd file is residing the save button trow me an error mentioning the path was not known, the save as did work but not the save.

Hi everyone,

Currently trying to lay down rivers on the continents but it seem that the 30 km by 30 km resolution is playing against me since i cannot make the line small enough even with minimal fallof setting the river doesn't get smaller.

Can the multi resolution be the answer to this or should i revert to mudbox?

Hi everyone,

I currently have a world size of 30 km x30 km and i want to export it to unity so i was looking for the correct procedure to do it, i did search the forum but didn't found what i was looking for.

Also some posts are from very early version of WM and with recent version thing might have change but the information seem hard to find.

I know the basic stuff about exporting raw tiled set but what about the y axis? Should i just flip all of them in Photoshop?

It would be nice to have a forum section with clear and precise instructions for the most used features.

Hi everyone,

We are currently evaluating the pro edition of WM and after working a while with the basic edition we get to become at ease using the chooser and the combiner but now we are taking a closer look at the new height chooser and even looking at the file examples and doing some test with the node we still don't understand how to correctly use it.

Is it made to replace the basic chooser or a completely new way of blending terrain?

If someone could share his experience using it or enlighten us on how to use it then it would also help the whole community.

English is not my first language so please try to explain in full words.
