I can open two extra windows now I have upgraded to Pro but they keep switching views on me.
  • I would like to be able to pin a extra viewport to a specific view per window.
  • It would be very helpful to be able to drag and drop layout window tabs to reorder them.
  • Hide/Show curve handles. When dealing with many points close together it can onerous to deal with handles and points

4) Remove  World Machine Documents Folder
5) Reinstall World Machine
6) World Machine Documents Folder will *not* be re-created

Edit: I added a copy of 2.3.7 to my machine and then the folder was created

Hi I was trying to figure out why a height map file was not importing into WM and I find out that non square height map does not seem to work. Is this a bug or just not supported?

Development News / SVG import in 3.0b3
« on: March 14, 2015, 05:16:48 PM »
Hi Stephen, I am struggling to import a single svg path that only has a fill and no stroke. Would it be possible to have a look at this file and let me know what the issue might be?

Also would you summarize the current do's and dont's of svg imports for shapes or lines?

Thanks

General Discussion / world-machine.slack.com is now terrains.slack.com
« on: February 04, 2015, 08:56:50 PM »
My name is Glenn Jones and I am a new user of standard edition World Machine.

Our company is a small games developer @ ibyteproductions.com and we picked up World Machine to help generate terrains for a project we have just recently started. In the last month I helped create a gamesdevelopment slack at slack.com (we are up to about 130 users now and) and joined a smaller helpmecodeswift slack for collaborating on a swift programming course I am attending. I really like slack and this gave me the idea to create one for world-machine users.

I am wondering if anyone is here is interested in joining a slack I created @ world-machine.slack.com ?

slack.com if you are not familiar with this multiplatform application,  is team communication software that aims to integrate a lot of external services while providing a place for teams to communicate similar to irc. You can create channels, private groups and use direct messaging between users on the slack. The free lite plan keeps a history of all messages and is searchable up to the last 10,000 msgs.

The intent is not to divert proper product support from this user forum where Stephen provides it  but to augment it with a place for folks to chat in real time (including history which irc does not give you) with other interested world-machine users.

I hope you will give it a try. Slacks are populated by invitation only (meaning you just can't directly sign up to use it) but it is open to any world machine user by sending me a direct PM with the email address at which you want to receive the invite. Perhaps if you give it a try and like it, you might want to create a slack for use with your own teams.

Glenn
