Hi,
I have a channeled erosion that is making a lot of really straight lines where there weren't in the underlying geometry. It just cuts in a long straight channel that has rather geometric channels coming off of it. Am I missing some kind of setting or trick? It's not everywhere, but it probably represents 90% of the channels I'm getting.
Thanks!

General Discussion / Detail View?
January 27, 2019, 03:56:12 am
Hi,
I've been experimenting with World Machine for a bit. I'm doing a 50 sq km terrain and I'm getting to a point where my broad shapes are pretty good, but I find when I export I get strange details that I didn't realise were even there. I can't get a high enough resolution in World Machine itself, so I was wondering if there's a detail view? I'm doing a tiled build is there a way to get the build in World Machine to focus on a single tile so I can see the detail?
Thanks!

Bug Reports and Help / Mesh export doesn't match
May 09, 2017, 06:03:13 am
Hi,
I'm relatively new to World Machine. I've gotten a bit of terrain that I'm now happy with as a base that I want to take into zBrush for some final tweaks (and possibly bring it back to World Machine for a final erosion pass), but I'm finding that the tiles I've exported as a mesh don't match what I see in World Machine. For one, it seems to be scaled vertically and two it there's a vague similarity but the broad height and shape of certain features don't seem to be one to one. I understand fine detail not being the same, but I'm a little confused as to why the big shapes are slightly different. Is there a trick I'm missing to get this out properly? Should I just export a heightmap and take that into zBrush? How do I guarantee that my terrain will come through correctly?
Thanks in advance!
