How can I view the Texel Desity ? any ideas? I want to know how streched the pixel are in a slop.?!
If the angel is to sharp the texel density will be bad.

Howdy!
When I am in the Layout nod and move a vertex of a shape, I experiences performance drop.
Using WM 3.0 riverpreview2 Pro 64bit

It is smooth as silk in WM 2.3.6.3 pro 64bit

Is there any thing I can do to get back the performance?

Windows 10 will be released (FREE upgrade) in August. Will WM work in Windows 10? If not will there be a version that supports Windows 10?

The Preview window are not refreshing correctly
I got a movie clip of 6 Mb to show, But I can not upload it to forum :(

I will try and explain
Start WM
Enter Advanced perlin and change the Feature Scale close Advanced perlin
Click on Terrace and se if it looks right
Enter Advanced select perlin set in Layout, select the X and movie it. Exit back to Device view
No click on Advanced perlin and then click on Terrace. They do not look the same.:(

When I am in layoutgen and makes a Line. And change the falloff to 0. I then can not get  to the popup menu when I use right mouse..

I have a video but I can not attach it... please raise the filesize and file types to mp4.

Allowed file types: txt, zip, pdf, jpg, gif, mpg, png, tmd, dev, tms

I am thinking to switch to dev release. Will it be any problem to use dev releases instead of  normal releases?

Hi!
I have updated the Crater Impact macro.(While waiting for the scattering device.. :shock:)
It now contains 2 different Crater type and also 2 different Volcano.
A new video tutorial is also published. It shows how to add more than one crater..

AWESOME

This macro will help all UDK and UE4 user to be able to make a Landscape.

The edge needs to be set to 0. I have a special workflow to do this atm. so this will help me.

Macro is a bit slow when building.
It needs to be able to be offset or centered . For me it falloff from the to top right corner down to the bottom left. It would be nice if it falled of from center..???

How do I export heightmap to .png or TIFF and get a detail map.
Do I normalize?
Do I center the heightmap?
It get to dark or to white an looses detail
What to to ? Workflow? Help if possible to overcome this

Window is out of sync.
If I edit in the layout view it is not updating .
Using 2.3.6.3 pro 64
There is a workaround thou...

I could not attach a move clip to show it better , due to file size.

Hi!
I need help to find a procedure the can create Sharp cliffsides...

I have Terraced sides that are step but when I apply erosion it destroys the cliff sides and makes ALOT of channels on the cliff...

I am using 2361 pro 64
I notice that the CPU is not working more than 50 % (look at picture)

After 50 min with 37% CPU utilize it then went down to 0 %
After 4 min still 0 % CPU , I then terminated the program....

Project setting Tile 3*3 at 2017*2017 (width/height 7 km)

Can someone else confirm or is this ok?

I am using 2351 pro 64-bit WM

When I enable the enhancement it makes this hill on the right side nothing happened on the left side.  It seems to be very sensible...
I have tried different value but it does not help. The only way to get rid of the small hill on the rightside is to uncheck the enhancement..

When I import the tiled heightmap into UDK , I have to turn them 90 Degree to get them right. I have also tried to flip Y , but it still needs to be turn 90 degree to look the same as in WM.

Anyone know how do  set it up so I do not need to turn them inside UDK?

To configurate World Machine, for UDK Landscape system, you need to know what scale UDK can produce.
UDK uses UnrealUnitis to set the heightmaps
In all of the Unreal Tournament games, 1 Unreal Unit is equal to 2 cm.

First X/Y
UDK must have a valid size for the Heightmap.
Drawscale3D is how many times the Heightmap is scaled.

Size      DrawScale3D.X/Y   Range in Meter

Tutorial

First
Decide what X/Y Size and what drawscale3D.X/Y you are going to use in UDK

Exampel
Size=2017*2017
Drawscale3D.X/Y= 64
Range in meter=2,581m

Type in Size in resolution
Type in Range in meter into Width


Second
Decide what Z height and what drawscale3D.Z you are going to use in UDK.
Exampel
Range in meter=1,146m
Drawscale=112

Type in range in meter into Maximum Elevation


Build and export


Then import into UDK and set your decided Drawscale

How can I add Sand that moved with the wind, It is not erorision it is more like Snow that would be added to the final Height map.

So I can add sand bank, maybe dunes and sand that is cover some of the rock formations on the height map...

I am still having trouble with the Delete Wire.

The node becomes black after I use delete Wire.







Here I press build and try different nodes



A workaround is to use Disconnect device instead....

Impossible to edit the Min Max value, they are grayed.

To vie/edit the settings on a device you have to click on it twice . A window open and then you have to close the window. that is 3 mouse click.

What if this window where to be open inside the Left side bar....
Then you only have to click it once to edit and view it......instead of 3 mouse click

Scenario
In the Device navigation list
First you click once on the Advance Perlin and the windows show the device setting
Then you click once on Height output and it show the new device settings
That is 2 click instead of 5....




Or even better at the bottom of the screen
like UDK Material editor
