Is there any news regarding development?
It's been a bit silent last couple of months so I thought asking about it :)
Hope all is well!
+1, really waiting for a final version and / or a sdk version for current version, currently i can't use geoglyph with the lastest WM because they don't have the SDK for it and i can't use older versions because multithreading isn't fixed in them.
Also received no answer to my email about that :(
Well, given the absence of Stephen I guess he's enjoying a well deserved vacation :)
Or something bad happened to him, which I definitely do not hope so!
The forum has been silent for a long time. I was looking for some news on version 3. Any news in this regard? Anyone in touch with stephen?
Nope, no idea either.
About 6 weeks ago or so a few forum users including me asked for some more updates on dev as well as more forum interaction.
That worked well for a brief moment, but it seems that after a month things are back to how they used to be?
This long silence seems ominous. Either He's packaging version 3 for release, or some other big overhaul, or Santa has abandoned us!
What's up Stephen?
Hope all is well!
Wouldn't mind seeing a river alpha/beta build honestly! :D
... really a bit too quiet - even for Stephen :o
but seems, he visited this forum : Today at 12:06:29 AM ^^
The alpha version of the river tool is currently released to the alpha testing team -- after a bit more polishing and feedback there, along with some other new changes, it'll drop to the dev build!
Also, I wanted to mention the latest blog post here:
Which details a bit more of what's going on behind the scenes!
Any news on that awesome erosion dev build? :D
On the Facebook page it says the dev channel is coming out soon™
Monthly check: Are we there yet? :P
We're very close. There's plenty of documentation, examples, and macros yet to be written, but I'll open up the first dev release of the river tool without those and then add the supporting elements over time.
I'm currently targeting next week for the first dev channel release.
Thanks for the heads up!
I somehow missed that message.
Looking forward to the release very much!
The tension waiting for this next release is overwhelming!!!
The next dev build that will include the river tool (3.0 river preview 1) will be available really soon. And by really soon, I mean sometime today. :)
Just writing up a bit about it and then it will drop to the dev channel. Although it has significant issues still, it also is very powerful and should be immediately useful. There are also a host of other very useful improvements (erosion active masking, better curves device, etc etc)
Great news! Can't wait to try it out!
