Hi,

Anyone know how to import World Machine terrains to CryEngine 3 and still get some decent details in the terrain?
I have managed to import some terrains, but they don't look to good. I can see that the grid in CryEngine have lots of more polygons it can use. I just don't understand why it doesn't use them.

Any help with this would be really great  :D

The above youtube link is part 1 of an 8 part tutorial video series on utilizing world machine and mudbox with cryengine 3 and producing some really awesome results. This video series is actually what prompted me to purchase a standard version of world machine last night, and starts off showing what the artist who created the videos can do with worldmachine and cryengine 3

That is a pretty awesome video tutorial. I will add it to the 3rd party tutorials list!

Thank you very, very much for that youtube tutorial  :D
I understand it's not possible to use normal map for terrains in CryEngine and not possible to get the full details with imported terrain, but the things he does really help giving the terrain an extra touch and a lot more interesting.
