how to use all threads
« on: November 28, 2012, 10:02:35 AM »
Hi :D
I have a EVGA SR-2 workstation with 2  6core cpu for 24 threads.
But in WM I can only use 16 threads, is it possible to use all my 24 threads?

Thank you.

Hi there,

You're in luck -- the next version of WM increases the upper limit to around 32!

Note that these levels make it more important to set the "Max # at a time" slider to something sensible, as otherwise for example, in a tiled build, creating 32 tiles at a time would require vast amounts of memory. (Threads not used in that setting are still available to assist in multithreading within a device)
