What determines erosion channel scale?
« on: April 14, 2016, 09:07:26 PM »
I keep getting these very deep and tall erosion channels, and I'm not even using channeled erosion.

What determines erosion scaling anyway? I always seem to end up with erosion channels that are like 10ft walls in my game terrain.

Your erosion duration is way off if you want to avoid strong erosion artifacts, turn the duration down and pimp some other parameters up if you still want to keep the heavily eroded look without deep channels

Better scale control over erosion would be quite nice actually :)

this + a more precise way, to preview the outcome of the settings.
but I doubt, this will happen

I'd love to see a feature where you can control the scale of the erosion.
There have been times when I've wanted to create vast mountain ranges and when I add erosion the whole scale of the range gets thrown off.

Erosion works well on a single mountain but not so great when creating a range I find.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong but it would be nice if anyone knows how to adjust the scale to share it:)
