Learning WorldMachine
« on: January 11, 2017, 07:44:21 AM »
Hello everybody!

Does anyone here know a good source for tutorials or something else to learn WM really well?

I have been playing around with it for a few months and watched almost all the tutorials I were able to find but most of them barely covered the basics and no advanced stuff at all.

It would be awesome if someone could help me! :)

Once you are well versed with basics of working in world machine, you can develop your own workflow. There is no default way to work with world machine, that's why making tutorials for advanced stuff in wm is very complicated in itself.

If still you'd rather watch tutorials than playing around with something practical, there are a few sets by Geekatplay that go into advanced stuff.

Thanks so far!

I have already watched some of his videos.

The problem is often that I only have unsufficient knowledge about what each device can do. I know what they basically do but it is not enough to now which devices I have to use to achieve a certain effect.

The device reference is enough for that use. Also, if you're on facebook, join the world machine software group there. You'll get quicker answers there.
