Sand Dunes

Working on terrain again, this time some sand dunes.  What do you think, folks? 

P.S. I'm just a beginner, but if you have any questions, please, ask away.

Getting the ripples to not freak out and turn into noise was a bit of a challenge.  If I try to make them any smaller they become too obfuscated and noisy.  WM just can't seem to handle it.

I should probably be happy with what I got though, WM is for terrain, not textures  :lol:


Amended with proper windward ripples.

Amended again.  Applied gentler slopes on windward side and steeper slopes on the leeward side.



I would have left the ripples for materials. Very nice work here indeed!


Smooth out the sides and sharpen the ridges. Without that it looks more like mountains clamped with low value.

Any chance you could share some more info or even a picture of your device flow chart?

The dunes look great!
