Out of memory while blending tiles

Hi,

I just built a large terrain with 25x25 tiles a 1024x1024. The heightmaps built fine but I got an out of memory error when blending the tiles (with blending 25%). I think it was only able to blend the first 30 tiles!
Is this expected behavior? I mean what is the use of tiled output when blending the tiles does not work? I’m obviously doing something wrong.

Any help would be great. Btw I use world machine pro and have 8 gigs of ram. Thanks :slight_smile:

Also: Are you using the 64bit edition?

you dont have to merge the files inside worldmachine…you can do this post in photoshop…though its a little bit of a pain, I am sure some script could be written to allow importing them correctly. Depending what kind of Op and system specs you have you could make the process less complicated and have a better result(less blending) if you use larger tiles.

WM will still blend the overlapping areas, even without merge after build enabled.
