Not building tile edges?

I am working on textures that are rectangular and the tile edges build adds HOURS onto the build time of a texture. is there a way to tell it just do nothing for them or at least do a blank texture for the tile edges?

I’m not 100% sure I know what you mean – are you referring to when you are only exporting a section of the tiled output area, or something else?

If the first case, there is no other way to get 100% repeatable results as without the edge tiles the output of a partial tile build will differ from that of a full, rendering the partial tile build pretty much useless.

If you need to export a smaller tiled area but don’t need it to necessarily drop into a larger one, simply create a new render extent and do the tiled build on it.

I am doing a large horizontal map:

The texture builds fine but the issue is time, before I drop another pile o money to get even stronger hardware I was hoping there may just be a setting I am missing.
