The first impression I got from this great program was that it reminded me of sound engineering. Or electronics, or programming, or the area where these all meet.
The whole idea of ‘building the machine’, plugging things in, etc., designing an efficient, artful mechanism to get a desired effect, is so much fun its a little addictive all on its own. It’s also really a lifesaver when it comes to work, as I’ve already encountered some problems that were easily solved by changing one or two settings earlier back in the chain – most other programs I would have had to start over or futz around with restoring an earlier save file.
Great job, I wish more programs were designed like this. It makes the reasoning aspect so much easier when it all feels hands-on, intuitive, and visual.
