If you will copy setting (i mean Ctrl+Shift+C) from one same macro, to another same copy of it - it will drop color settings (i mean category) Even if you will do it with itself, lol
Aah. This is actually an interesting situation that will affect the Code device as well.
The central question is, what are “settings?” For most WM devices, this is obvious - its the parameters you as the user can adjust.
And that is the meaning by which WM currently copies and pastes settings for all devices, including Macros and Code.
But macros and code are created by the user! Should the internal code or device network be considered part of the settings copied? Right now it is NOT. So none of the code, device network, or config options will be copied when you copy settings.
I can certainly imagine cases where what you would want is to be able to replace everything with the copied item. But I believe on balance this is probably not what is wanted for “paste settings”. this might be closer to a generic “Paste Replace” command, that lets you replace one device with another (without having to rewire the connections)
