Add Specific Rotation to Instance Scattering

Right now it’s only possible to control the range of randomization in the instance scattering.
It would be really useful, especially combined with spatial parameters, to control the rotation of each instance precisely

Still not understand why Forum have “features request” topic and “feature vote” separate website

Why here is no one unificated place for such purpose? I’m not comfident, is forum posts will be noticed by developer and added in future. Maybe everyone should move their feature request to feature vote website? I did ask developer about that by e-mail but he did not answer on that until today

O, and ye - this request is gooood - i support idea

Actually it would be amazing to also control the XY size by a spatial parameter

I agree with both suggestions.

Right now, the variations slider is in effect generating a range parameter internally. It is too late to change this for Hurricane Ridge, but this might be a change that can be done in a future release.

Adding a direct “heading” spatial parameter on the other hand is quite straightforward and I might be able to sneak it in.

Making XY scale be spatial is complicated because the spacing of the instances are controlled exactly by the size of the instance. It is not a dealbreaker - the problem and workaround used in Basic Perlin to allow feature scale to be spatial are the same – but it is complex.

Update:

Direct rotation control via spatial parameter is in for final release.
