Adjust extents based on 3D view

I’d love to have a button which enables me to reduce the render extents to just the area I’m looking at in the 3D view. Sort of a ray cast which determines the furthest away points of the extents

This is certainly possible - it’s in fact exactly how the Explorer view determines what area to display. “Render Extent from Camera” or something similar…
