Combine 2 islands from separate layout generators

Hi, I’m having some trouble with combiners and layout generators…

I’m making a map that has 2 islands. Each island is housed within it’s own Layout Generator.

First Island:

I want them to be combined, so I’m trying to use a combiner but none of the settings seem to do what I want it too…

Below are what I want, and what is happening. I’d post my node tree but it’s literally just the two layout generators and the combiner. Though if you’d really like to see it I can upload it later.

Desired Result (both islands in same layout generator):

Actual Result (using a combiner set to add, strength = .5):

Did you try a chooser?

I don’t know how I would use a chooser to accomplish this
