escarpments and faults with WM 2.0

Using a combination of traditional devices and layout mode shapes as masks, you can put these anywhere you like on the terrain. You can arbitrarily vary the angles and shape/ area of the incline.

Interesting. So is there some sort of actual “escarpment” node (with a mask input to control area of effect), or by “combination of traditional devices” do you mean this was made all with just normal nodes? I guess the cool new stuff is actually having the layout mode shapes feature, right? Thanks for sharing.

Yep, I really wanted to place these features via masks made in layout mode (or imported). The only problem I have now is centreing the gradient device on the layout shapes. Not sure if it’s necessary yet tho…At the moment it means creatint the features on an individual basis, but I tried to acheive this effect with Splines and it was pretty awful- too much like painting them.
