geotiff import

Hello to all of you, my name is Francesco and I’m a 3D architecture designer. I discovered “world machine” a few days ago and I was pleasantly impressed; I have seen some tutorials on the net and in particular I am very interested in importing land from gis and similar in “world machine” and returning it to 3ds max.
in my case I have a geotiff file with relative dimensions and height, and from this I would like to extract:

  • mesh output (output)> to generate 3d terrain
  • bitmap output (output)> to generate a texture map to be applied to 3d
  • masks in b / w of the ground in order to define the various zones (for example, create a mask in black and white to highlight a road)

for now I stop here. I would like to have suggestions, tutorials to follow or any information to achieve this result.

Select “Improving Real World Terrain” sample and load.
