Height Chooser

Hi there,

I´d like to have some clarifications about the new height chooser. I would like to “draw” a guide for the height chooser in grayscale, the outlines/coastlines are to stay the way they are. Does the chooser divide the absolute height of the scene in equal parts or does it use the actual covered height range from the height input? As you notice it´s kind of hard to describe for me  If you need clarification to give me help just ask away.

THX in advance,

Troedel

Hi there,

The height bands in the Height Chooser evenly divide the absolute height range of the scene.

As an example, open up the world file “Height Chooser Scene Example” from the Examples\New for 2.3\Techniques folder. Place a clamp on the wire between the switch and the height chooser guide input. Move the upper or lower bounds of the guide map by adjusting the clamp sliders – watch how the combined output terrain shifts between (for example) all hilly/mountainous down to all water/coastal as you move the guide input.
