New cores not detected

Hi,

I used to have a 3-core processor, but have now upped the ante and am working with an 8-core. Howeve, WM still only works with a max. of 3 thread. I have tried reinstalling, but to no avail. Is there a setting or ini file somewhere to specify the number of cores?

Hi there,

yep, as you guessed there is a preferences setting that lets you allocate a certain number of cores to World Machine in case you need to keep some compute power for other tasks. Go to Preferences->Build Options tab and adjust the # of threads to the number of processors you have.

works fine. For some reason I was just trying to play around with the setting on the right.
