Program download won't run

I downloaded Basic version and tried to run the program on my Windows 2000 system. When I try to run it it says “WorldMachine32.exe is not a valid Win32 application” and it aborts.

What am I missing?

Hi Paul,

Unfortunately, over the past year World Machine moved compilers to Microsoft’s VC2010, which does not support windows 2000 as a program target. Because of this, it is impossible to support windows 2000 any longer.

I just realized that the download page still claims windows 2000 compatibility – I will have this updated soon. Sorry for any confusion!
