I built another macro. It is quite large and shouldn’t be used with standard version, because standard provides devices, that can achieve the effect a lot easier.
I creates a river in a river bed. But it still needs some improvements, I know.
A little preview:
To be honest… this macro is propably only useful for basic-users, because with standard, the effect of this macro can easily, and with much better performance, be achived using curves.
(Macro for this coming soon  )
No, it’s not.
The macro was made for the free edition which lacked the curves device. This is no longer the case, the curves device exists in all versions of WM and is a much faster tool than the macro was.
I’m currently doing riverbed networks in Leveller by hand. I use the smudge tool so that I get a U shaped valley rising in altitude from the underlying terrain already modelled. It’s tedious to say the least, but it does give me a lot of control.
I’m beginning to wonder whether I’m not making the most effective use of procedurals.
