River Meanders

Remnant, any plans to revisit erosion/channeling to add meanders? Even if it meant a massive increase in processing time… I’m contemplating building a 2 socket 24 core / 48 thread workstation so it seems to me that the times are a’ changing which is to say that if a brute-force method could be whipped up quick I’d love to start testing it.

Or has the community produced anything to accomplish this?

enhanced erosion is not currently on the immediate dev sprintlist, but it is something that I do intend to visit. I can’t say more at the moment unfortunately…

when you do revisit this, having the ability to easily create a river delta would be great. idealy as the land flattens out it would be come even more broken up as it gets closer to the sea. so what starts off as a thin river becomes a wide flat delta

I had worked on this previously but real life took over before I could finish. I had good initial results. I intend to spend some time this semester trying to get this working.

So is there any update on this?
