I can tell you about a few smaller but still important things coming up:
- Another minor update to 2.3.3
- A user-contribute-able wiki that eventually most of the reference material and tutorials will migrate to. This is actually huge as right now alot of great how-to info is buried in the forums; a wiki makes it easier to find thing.
What about big changes and enhancements? I still can’t really talk about the roadmap for those yet, although I think it will start firming up pretty soon!

What do you think about Vector graphics implemented into WM . Like Substance from allegorithmic?
Might be kickass stuff…?? They also use Nodes to build material and Textures…
Substance already does that job very well, i’d rather have WM keep extending it’s world gen capabilities instead of doing detail texturing, however what would rock and really streamline the workflow would be if you could host the substance engine, might be worth contacting allegorithmic? I’d love a “substance node” where i can refer to the 100s of texture from the substance database!
I was thinking using SVG file in the nodes to make Height-, normal-, weightmaps…
