So I’ve just followed WFab’s tips about adding water to the terrain and everything seems to instantly improve. I guess I got the logic behind this. Even if I don’t add an actual water body to the terrain, the flow of the erosion and the masks I can get from the water node combined with other masks help make the whole thing look way more natural ( it even carved “natural paths” within the forest) and also match the references I’m following a lot better.
