(Solved)Crater

So I made one Crater, but how can I make 12 Craters? any advise?, Can I make a macro how ??
Sheds some light in this mystery

Hi there,

Nice looking crater!

I’m assuming you used a Radial Gradient to create the initial crater impression, correct?

The main question is, do you want to manually place those 12 Craters, or just scatter random ones about?

If you want to scatter random ones, then all you need is some other device to replace it that can scatter radial-grad-like objects all around the world. As it happens, the Voronoi device is perfect for this – or rather, if you invert the output, you get a bunch of dots. I’ve attached a very old but still useful macro for this to this post, download it and see if it does what you want! You can create scattered “dots” each of which will become an impact crater.

If you want to manually place the twelve craters, then creating a macro of your original is your best bet. Select the part of your network that represents the creation of the crater, right click on one of them and choose “Convert selected devices into macro”. Then copy/paste the macro multiple times, changing the origin of the radial gradient in each one, and combine their outputs together.

Thank you!
Yes I use Radial Gradient to create a crater…
and I will use macro to create more craters.

The Radios seems to work but…
How can I connect the Macro parameters to the green X;Y coordinat input on the Radial Gradient, so I can move the crater around ?

I am wondering the same thing. The macro already has a “Device Origin” option, but it is greyed out. How can we enable this so we can provide x/y coordinates that the macro can use?
