(Solved)Natural Filter Device -Sand

How can I add Sand that moved with the wind, It is not erorision it is more like Snow that would be added to the final Height map.

So I can add sand bank, maybe dunes and sand that is cover some of the rock formations on the height map…

There are a couple ways to have a wind or sand-like effect, but you might be able to get something interesting like this:

  1. Reduce the height of your terrain and then combine it with a linear gradient so the entire terrain is sloping in the direction you want the wind to blow towards.
  2. Use a snow device to accumulate “sand” that will flow and compact in the direction of the gradient. Turn off the evaporation and reduce the intensity, and use a Angle Selector connected to the Intensity Mask input to control where the sand is accumulated – make it so that sand only is added on the windward side.
  3. Finally, subtract out the linear gradient again and Expand your terrain to its original dimension.

I’ve tried something like the above before and gotten pretty decent results… If you give this a try, let me know how it works for you!

AWESOME dude…
You seems to know the workflow also… WTG (Not only develop )

Took me some days to figure out what you meant…
A lot of tweeking but here is the result

“Wind” is coming from right side. Watch the sand build up on the right side of a hill not on the left side. Check inside crater…

Update.

W.I.P (Work In Progress)

The white Sand has blown with the wind from left to right and got stuck on small hill.
Notice how the sand is staying inside the cracks of the black slate.

Very Nice!
