tiled builds producing a blocky terrain

I am working on building an island, its pretty big so i am exporting it with a tiled build. things work fine until i try to import the tiles into another instance of world machine.

In my 2nd scene I have just a ‘tiled file input’ and an ‘overlay view’. The result is a very blocky terrain, its like the terrain was cut where the tile boundries were and had a height value added to them.

I believe the problem is related to my Erosion device. particularly the Geological-time enhancement option, as when its turned off i dont get the blockyness, but if its on i do get it. This is a big shame as this feature is awesome!

Am I doing something wrong? Am I missing something?

It looks like your blending percentage is very low. In the Tiled Build options, try increasing it until the box effect disappears; 50% or more would be probably required if your scene has very extensive erosion.
