Constant Slope Expander Node?

In the expander node you set a distance.

This results in variable slope steepness based on the height of the terrain.

Is there a way to set a uniform angle of steepness no matter what the height of the terrain? Something like this?

do not know such a way
so maybe it is good feature request

Hmm, this is not a perfect solution, but you could use the Thermal Weathering device for this instead. Set the mass balance to 1, the talus production to 1. Then, with the angle of repose, you can control the slope’s angle. Depending on the height of your terrain/the slop you wish to create, you may need to crank up the simulation length.

If you want to get rid of the rugged look, set the talus size (if I recall correctly) from 1m to 0m.

Let me know if this helps!

Right now, there is no direct way to do this outside of using the Thermal Weathering device as hylk suggests. Your shapes need to be moderately smooth or else you’ll get some ‘ringing’ artifacts at the cliff edges.

Slope-based controls for both expander and shape falloff in the Shapes device has been a request for a while.
