Highest and lowest elevation point indicators

This is just a simply one–it’d be nice if there was indicators somewhere near the water level slider that showed you the highest and lowest elevation points of your terrain. I find it would be helpful particularly with I’m scaling my exported terrain meshes with real-world dimensions inside a 3D modeling package, and I have to use clever ways to find those elevation points (particularly highest points).

I usually just toggle the water level plane and raise it up in Layout View, raising it to where only the highest points are Since my highest point on the terrain isn’t always my maximum elevation value (as found in the General Setup tab of “Project Settings”). Having those two indicators would be very time-saving.

And here’s just a stretch of an idea–perhaps you could even add a “Zoom to Elevation Points” feature for the Explorer View with further options to zoom to the highest or the lowest elevation points of the terrain, with a little 6ft bluish ghost-like human figure that stands on top of that zoomed-to point (this would help better with getting a sense of scale of the elevation when zooming back from and view around that zoomed-to elevation point). Thanks!

I agree with you

I’m in, I’d find it very useful; especially when I need to “understand” the scale of a mountain over a very large area.

Also, it would be very useful if we could get some sort of “altitude snapshot” in the 3D view: you know, like a few tags distributed between water and the tallest peak to show lowest, intermediate and highest elevations.
