Just wonder, what applications are you using in your workflow, or where you using highmaps generated in World Machine?
My : Vue, Terragen, Unity (workflow examples at http://www.geekatplay.com/tutorials.php )
Thank you for your input!
hello there,
I use WM maps in Unity (mainly) - but unity is not that good, regarding terrain. Maybe i will try UE4 instead in the near future.
In some rare cases, I use them in Vue Pioneer 2015 for adding some special fx (like stones or some shapes).
Just out of couriosity, I imported some in Terragen, which looked really awesome and realistic. Problem is, you can not export
that “shader-fx” and translate it to other apps (at least I dont know how) Only thing I barely managed, was to render out a basic
color texture, AFAIR.
Best regards
I use those in mainly Vue. Also occasionally terragen, and blender. I’ve used it in the past with maya and 3dsmax as well (3dsmax through xstream plugins, maya through heightmaps, renderman engine).
Terragen, Blender, Substance Designer; Love your tutorials, btw.
I use it inside UDK. I am stuck with UDK for some time. Not sure what I will move to next.
It is used for the levels of a game, So far I managed to publish 3 levels
I may be late here, but i use them in Cinema 4D with Vray.
Here is an example using a displacement map and a color map created with World Machine.
The only light is an HDRI.
I’m a newbie modder for Ark Survival Evolved, so I’m using Unreal Engine 4.
I may be an outlier here, but we use WM maps primarily in Renderman (via Katana) and Clarisse iFx.
