Layout Generator: can't enter precise value

Hello everyone - I feel a bit silly to ask this question here but I just can’t seem to understand why.

My goal is to create a ‘path of destruction’ of a crashed space ship in a mountain. I figured that the layout generator with some erosion applied to it will do the trick. Using the colorizer from HLYK and a few masks I can make it black-isch from the crash. All good, but I can’t seem to edit this value:

I want the line to match up with the terrain at a specific location, but instead I can only move the entire line up / down. I cannot set the heights of individual vertices. Does anyone know why that is greyed out? Even in a new layout generator, just on its own?

I’m using World Machine Mt. Rainier 4016.

Have you tried updating to 4017.2? I think it was reimplemented in that version. And if not, it will be reimplemented in 4018!

Sometimes we get stuck in front of an easy solution, that’s nothing to worry about (it’s just frustrating in hindsight :p)!
