Hello
I am pretty new with WM and I wonder if anyone had some nice tricks to put together a series of files inputs and make them look intergrated. I took at look at the glue macro but it didn’t really serve me right.

Hello there!
What does “integrated” mean? if you are thinking of appending maps side-by-side, then the best way to do this (up to version .99 at least) is to do it in an image editor… This is because of simplicity… To do it in WM you would have to set the resolution to 512x512, load the four files, scale them back down to 256x256 (50%) and displace them to their respective corner, and finally combine them adequately… this is for 4 images, for more images the complexity goes up exponentially… Also There might be some loss of infomration when resizing maps (using Rhalph’s Macro for instance)… So if you plan on stitching maps together, do it using an image editor…
If you want to create a large terrain from several WM terrains (like creating a 64Kx64K (I’ve never done this) you can use WM’s world positioning features: The theory behind it is simple. In version .99, there is in the “World Size & Positioning” (options > world size). Click the arrows to specify the position of the perlim noises… Then you only need to stitch the resulting terrains… This is the thoeory… In practice there are certain devices that will not be working adequatelly to this philosophy… nemely gradients… a grandient is something that is not translated or moved easily. Erosion also poses problems in the borders of the world, as it doesn’t take into account the terrain next door… But if you don’t use any of these devices, you shouldn’t notice anything in the stitching (it should be seamless) using a paint program…
Only Stephen and the gods know yet what version 1 will bring to ease this
If I didn’t answeer your question, please tell me
Cheers,
Thanks for the reply
I found a very good way to merge it all together in photoshop so I have no problems so far
