Trying to use the ramped terrace macro, every time I select it I get an out of memory error. Anyone have an idea why?
How much memory do you have? WM is a big memory hog, especially if you’re using large terrains. Try a very small terrain size, like 257x257, if you’re having trouble. If that fixes it, it’s probably a legitimate memory issue. You could try increasing your swap file size, but that will kill performance. So you may just have to upgrade your memory, or live with the limitations imposed by a lack of it.

hmmm, droped it to 32, still the same message.
I have 256; kick myself again for listening to the sales person. I intend to do some up grades, but not real soon; need to study more, figure out just what I need and if it will work with what I have.
But I’m not so sure memory is the problem. The ramped terrace macro is the only macro I have that I get this error with, out of 38. odds are against the macro.

I usually work at 256 and once I have what I want I reset to the size I like to work.
Oop, my mistake for not noticing it was a macro you were having problems with. Some macros can get extremely complex inside, and so you really can’t tell ahead of time how much memory they’ll be using, even on small terrains. Worse, the macro system isn’t entirely stable at the moment, there are a few hidden bugaboos and demons, so you’ll sometimes run into instability and issues like this. I’d say it’s probably just that, and you won’t be able to do much aside from possibly trying to edit the macro contents somehow.

Most likely you’re running into one of the memory issues that exist in WM 0.99. They’ve been fixed for v1.0, but until then there really isn’t too much you can do to work around it besides entering the macro world and seeing if anything in particular is causing it.
Wont load so I can’t crack it open with WM. I’m still checking out the macros I have, but so far this is the only one I’m having problems with; well as far as funtioning. I sware some of them need tutorials on how they work.
reinstaled it from a new zip, now it works fine.
