The "Mailbox Peak" Build - The real deal?

I click on the “list of features” link and it takes me to asking for my registration code. This seems to have come out of nowhere. I just want to check with others to see if this is the real deal.

i got email, ordered and using now.

Hi Tovrin!

I’ve recently started helping World Machine as Community Liaison, so will periodically pop into forums / support tickets. If you’re asking if the new version of World Machine and the newsletter that came out today is authentically from World Machine, then easy answer - yes! There have been many dev releases since WM 2.3, but no official release channel update, which came out recently. Wanted to get the word out there about the new version!

If a link took you to enter your registration code and you’ve previously purchased World Machine, putting in your registration code will tell you if your license is still active and can get the newest version for free. If not, you’ll need to renew your license to get the new version - you can renew your license for $99 for Pro or $39 for Standard. If it’s your first time purchasing, you can purchase on the purchase page. Hope you enjoy the latest features!

Good to know. I notice you one have credit ard right now. Are you taking Paypal?

I’d love to know if the 800% claim is true for all the nodes or only a few special ones. Is erosion faster now, for example? It was multithreaded before so I guess it applies to other nodes.

Another vote for Paypal payment option here!

Great to see that there is a new World Machine version available.
Just extended my maintenance about one month ago.

Any information about Geoglyph available? Does it work with the new version?

Any update on the Paypal option?

Hey guys!

@Tovrin: yep, if it’s critical that you pay for your upgrade via PayPal instead of a credit card, send the amount on the invoice for the upgrade to orders@world-machine.com and we will link it up for you manually. Credit card will be instantaneous and PayPal will take a little longer, but yes, it’s an option!

@Vision4Next: From what I’ve heard, they are working on a new GeoGlyph to be compatible with Mailbox Peak to be released in April.

@pokoy - if you check out the graph here (http://www.world-machine.com/purchase.php?page=pro), you are correct in that the speed improvements depend on which device you are using. Honestly, there were some devices that were even more than 800% faster, and others that didn’t see too much benefit. So far we’ve been getting great feedback on the increased speeds, but let us know how much faster you find it to be! Always looking for more examples from the community.

Thanks all for the great questions!
