The color table acid bleached world kinda does the badlands one but I have no idea how to pull that into the texture pipeline. I also do not know how to get nice dark strata lines(could probably use a custom color table but as I said I have no idea how to pull that data)
There’s no direct way.
You could disable shading of the preview, render it in the size you want and then take screenshots in 2D view. (holding the rmb and moving around zooms - it also snaps into 100% zoom. // you’ll see what I mean)
Hey YellowBull, this is something I wanted to do myself: editing the text file. Which text file is it? Incidentally, strata is also something I’d like to get.
In the resource folder there is a file called colors.txt. It corrisponds with your colors.tga… You can rename the each gradient to what you want, or add new ones. Does this make sense?
Ah yes, thanks Dave. I did look at this previously but thought it way too fiddly, but maybe I’m wrong about that. Thinking about it I wanted to have a colour table that fitted my world…I’m guessing that if I divide my vertical extents of my world into 256, then I should be able to arrange things so that I get what I want within render extents.
I don’t think a colour table is really what I need. I could use this for strata shots though. I’ve never really seen anyone get strata before. If we can’t use overhangs, it has to be a colour table.
What the heck? It worked yesterday! I downloaded it and I opened it to make sure it’s okay.
Now all of a sudden, the archive is basically a renamed txt file with spam links in it.
WTH?!?!
I’ll look into this when I get home. I really hope my system is not infected with some weird virus.
well I guess there are some more suspect things going on with the forum pages…first the auto writer spam poster and now this…seems like someone is having a fiddle with the site…
