Why don't you guys have a Discord Channel?

I think it would be nice to have a discord channel where we can post our work and talk about Terrain Generation in general

i did create same topic on forum 2 years ago
and i still agree that this is ultra super duper cool idea in general

but as i understand - forum is more convenient way for business to communicate and store information within community

discord will divide one single place for communication to two separate

as i understand - for same reason here is no official facebook group, instagram, twitter, wats up, telegram, discord or whatever (only youtube channel afaik)

this argument sounds strong and reasonable, so i have no idea how to defeat it

only what i may say - is that i irrationally support idea of making WM to have millions of social medias even if it will make this forum not a single place where community live

as gen-Z WM user - discord will be much more convenient for me

In my honest opinion, it’s impractical for a solo developer and business owner to maintain a social network across so many platforms.

So for now , these are the only official places you can get any legitimate information online:

1: Official website : https://www.world-machine.com/
2. Official Forums (for communication) : https://forum.world-machine.com/
3. The Help Center (for learning): https://help.world-machine.com/
4. Development blog (for a behind the scenes look) : World Machine Development Blog – The latest 'Behind the Scenes' news from Stephen, the author of World Machine

For the rest we’ll have to come together as a community. Create a Discord, tell us about it here, and then hope that the reclusive bunch of terrain artists will respond to it. I created a community of Facebook, and someone else tried on Discord. I can tell you from my own experience, I’m the only one posting, answering questions, and deflecting spam and scams in my FB community. Only time there’s an activity, is when I’m posting official news over there. Minecraft terraformers have their own discord community, and the general wm discord failed due to inactivity. I hope since this question keeps coming up, you or someone else may do another attempt that’s successful! Good luck to that good samaritan!

In conclusion, here’s my facebook group for consolation:

I do honestly like the idea of having a discord for real time conversation and chatting, but I don’t have the bandwidth to especially make it any sort of official support channel, and as mentioned above - the forum serves as the store of user-knowledge and problem-solutions. If anyone wants to go to the effort to spin up a discord, I’d be happy to swing by now and then to chat.
