Why update button limited by 4043 version?

I’m user of 44 build, but my WM update button says that all my projects is 43

Why i have no 44 available?

World Machine tracks two version numbers:

  1. The compiled program version (4044). This is the actual version you are running, reflect in the “About” dialog, etc.
  2. The project file version. Each time a change is made that would make a project incompatible with prior versions ( a new type of device, a new version of an existing device, a difference in how high level features work), the project file version is updated to match the program version. Note that I bend the rules slightly for Dev builds: Their functionality is not considered frozen until the final release.

The reason for this is to allow for bugfix and content releases, that don’t update your project file (and thus don’t require any updates!), but ARE a new release of the software, like 4044 was.

With this system, you are only prompted to update your project file if there is an actual benefit to doing so.
