it seems I can open Terragen’s RAW files in Photoshoip, but not World Machine’s. World machine saves 16bit RAW files with the .r16 extension, whereas Terragen seems to output a .raw. Are those different formats? Is there a way to get a 16bit image straight from World machine into Photoshop?
Thanks for the help.
Yes you can!
Photoshop won’t open because of two reasons:
- it does not recognise the file extension as a known one.
- it thinks it’s two chanels at 8 bits.
Use photoshop’s “Open As…” command. Open it as RAW, single channel, 16bit, “IBM PC” byte order, header size = 0.
That should do the trick!
cheers,
Awesome. That did the trick!
