World Machine and MojoWorld

As a new member, I was surprised that a search of this forum failed to find any mention of MojoWorld - even though I’ve spied several Mojonauts among the WM membership.

Is Mojo a taboo subject around here?

How does working in the World Machine interface compare to working in MojoWorld?

Thanks,
hakujin

Mojoworld is great, i’d love to see some WM2 landcapes rendered in Mojoworld so plz create and post some. can’t imagine it being taboo around here, that’s highly unlikely…

Cool! 8)

Unfortunately, as a dedicated Mac-user, I can’t download the WM demo and simply try it for myself.

If anyone is running World Machine via Windows emulation on a MacTel, please let me know what you think…

MojoWorld is not a taboo subject, we just have respect for dead programs (last sign of life on Pandromeda website goes back to April 28th, 2006 i.e. 2 years and 2 months ago!).

Bye!!!

I hear ya…

But, unlike in humans, ‘death’ in software can always be reversed with an infusion of plasma - or in this case, money.

As of April 28, 2006, MojoWorld was still far ahead of where World Machine is now - with the very important exception of 64-bit, multi-thread support, of course. I would say that you’ve still got quite a bit of catching-up to do.

You really should add erosion to that exception list as well

The lack of mention of Mojoworld is most probably due the fact that it doesn’t gain much benefit from World-Machine compared to most of the other landscape renderers which have limited terrain creation tools in comparison.
