World Machine Gurus: Would you like to write a tutorial?

Back in the WM 0.99 days, there was a “Tip of the Month” section that had some interesting tutorials.

There’s still lots of interest in some basic tutorials detailing how to make a terrain in world machine, so I’m going to bring back the tutorials section.

Although I’ll be certainly writing several myself, I’d love to also host tutorials written by community members… whether that tutorial is about how they created some specific terrain of theirs, general tips and tricks, etc.

More information will be forthcoming soon, but if you’re interested in writing a tutorial or having one of your tutorials hosted, drop me a line at remnant@world-machine.com

That sounds good.
I hope that some nice tutorials can be found here soon.

For all who are interested I’ve written a little beginner tutorial.
It is german and can be found here

Bei World Machine handelt es sich um eine Erweiterung für Terragen.
Worldmachine is an extension for TerraGen?

A nice tutorial for the basics

Hey!

I finished the translation of my tutorial and need an english speaking guy to read it, and turn it into real english

My english is propably just not good enough to provide a well readable tutorial.

I’ll try and translate it for you.

Patrick

Well, that post is actually 6 months old - and in fact, the tutorial can already be found in the help section of the website for a while now.

But thanks for you offer.

btw: Translation itself wasn’t the problem anyway.

I’m not realy a guru, but I made a tutorial. You can find it at:

Yes, agreed! I’d like to write one- if only to teach myself  I think with the new texturing abilities (not to mention a gazillion other new features), texture output is going to be a significantly new direction for WM.
