Image Base Lighting?

Hi,

I’m pretty new to the 4XXX development stage and thus haven’t looked at the PBR material implementation.

Now I have looked at it a bit and it is pretty neat. But PBR is also very reliant on good lighting so I was wondering if there are any plans to include IBL or some baseic HDR images that can be used to light the terrain? I think it would look pretty sweet! :slight_smile:

Although, I assume you’ve already gone through the available lighting and rendering tools?

You can do a lot of stuff with the available nodes and lighting dialog. Check the images from my old thread, all of those are straight screenshots from wm viewport.

Hey, yeah I’ve checked the available tools. And that’s why I felt it was a natural step to include some IBL to complement the PBR stuff.
